Who are the NY2NO Alum?

We are a youth-led organization that builds political analysis and youth participation through experiential learning with social justice organizations in our neighborhoods and others. We develop alternative educational methods to confront all forms of oppression while building youth organizers. We seek to empower youth to empower themselves to return and empower their communities.

NY2NO is an organization that works specifically with High School-aged youth in order to keep their leadership sustainable; however, once the organizers and participants graduate High School they still hold the organizing skills and the desperate desire to keep working towards a just world. NY2NO has (unintentionally) gone national as many of their members leave New York City to continue on their own path. This group is called NY2NO Alum. As Alum, we have begun organizing together from across the country, working in solidarity with our High School counterparts and taking direction from them in the spirit of bottom-up organizing.
